I’ve written Observations every day since July 17, 2018, and now, to mark its first anniversary, I’m printing a chapbook: Observations: Year One. The book distills the blog. It takes 410 nuggets of life from the past year and connects them in new ways. And it pairs each week with a mesmerizing risograph illustration by Lauren Gallagher. I learned a lot from the past year of writing Observations. I learned that little things can feel important when you give them space of their own. And that noticing begets more noticing.
