BURNED DOWN. BUILT BACK DIFFERENT. The Phoenix started as an existing garment, but we stripped away the original color and gave it an entirely new life. Each piece was individually color-removed and then hand-dyed by Blackwell Kids Co., creating an organic finish that couldn't be duplicated if we tried. The original fabric takes the dye differently throughout, leaving behind variations in tone, movement and depth that make this little 2T completely one of a kind. We first removed the garment's original color, creating a new base for the dye. It was then individually hand-dyed, allowing the remaining color, fabric and new dye to interact naturally. The variations and unexpected markings created during that process are exactly what make this piece impossible to reproduce.
