Plus One Following the same philosophy as the already successful U.P frame, the One+ is a versatile hardtail that will suit racer types, trail riders and weight weenies looking to build the ultimate light weight machine - all while keeping up to date with the latest frame and wheel standards. That's right, the One+ will accept 26" (small), 27.5 and 29" wheels as well as the new Plus standard tires which are 3.0" With it's renown agile handling and excellent power transfer via the BB92 pressfit bottom bracket the One+ will feel comfortable as a all-out race bike and all-day trail bike. The One+ gets more comfort with the use of 3.0" tyres which is really a benefit from the new Boost standard - it also allows for a stiffer 29er wheel. You will notice the dropped chainstay on the drive side, just like the U.P which was a result of implementing the Boost standard, widening the bottom bracket and making sure it fits all of the latest wheel standards. The One+ features a mix of high modulus and low modulus fibrers strategically placed throughout the frame. As high mod fiber is more brittle Open balances this with lower modulus to allow for more durability in high impact areas. Stiffness and resposiveness was key for the One+ hardtail which uses a BB92 bottom bracket which creates a huge base for the flattened down tube and wider rear stays - instead of having external bearing cups, the bearings now sit in the frame - which still allows use of a Shimano or SRAM 24mm spindled crankset.
