De Laire produced two orchid bases, Orchidée №s 1 & 2. Fraterworks Orchidée № 2 is a restoration of the latter — the more floral and historically more popular and widely used base. Orchids are generally odourless and in perfumery circles the term is commonly used to refer to clover (treflé) or salicylate based fantasy aromas. Orchidée is no exception. Rich with natural floral absolutes, aldehydes and luxurious musks, this is a top to bottom base that can be used alone as a wonderful fragrance, or as part of a new fragrance. Usable in large quantities (up to 29% of your finished product), Orchidée is a perfect alternative to the far more common heart note synthetics (hedione and the like) around which most modern fragrances tend to be built.
