This is the third release from Oriental Elixir — a collaboration between The Spiffy Dapper and Tanglin Gin Distillery. This gin was created by resting the Tanglin Orchid Gin in Honey Jackfruit. Beautiful Vanilla and Honey notes on the nose with the gentlest whisper of sweetness on the palate. The flavour of Jackfruit lingers on your tongue long after you have finished your sip. What is Jackfruit? Jackfruit may be an unfamiliar fruit to most, but it is large and plump like mango and used in Southeast Asian cuisines. As a gin ingredient, it brings a sweet, tropical flavour to this spirit, which combines seamlessly with juniper and local botanicals like amchoor ( green mango ) for a unique experience. The Jackfruit gin is aromatic and full-flavoured but ripe enough to be accented with milder spirits. The smooth taste of jackfruit, a tropical fruit, gives this gin its undeniably smooth finish. What is the Best Way to Enjoy the Gin? This gin works well in cocktails and in G&Ts. We recommend a ratio of 1 part Jackfruit Gin to 2 parts Tonic Water. Use a pandan leaf or slice or orange as your garnish for your gin and tonic. We absolutely love the Jackfruit Gin in a dry martini. 45ml Jackfruit Gin, 15ml Dry Vermouth and a touch of Orange Bitters.
