We have restored this lovely piece by carefully hand-stripping the original stain before applying a clear lacquer to the top to accentuate and preserve the mahogany veneer for many years to come. The rest of this bookcase has been painted in 'old white' to provide an attractive contrast to the natural wood and provide a more contemporary finish. This bookcase is constructed from compressed wood with mahogany veneer. The back panel is plywood.
