This vector is designed for robust constitutive expression of Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein (EGFP) in a wide range of mammalian cell types. EGFP expression is driven by the human cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate-early promoter. The multiple cloning site (MCS) is located at the N-terminus. This enables the generation of C-terminal EGFP fusion proteins, allowing researchers to monitor protein expression, intracellular localization, and cellular dynamics using fluorescence microscopy and live-cell imaging. Plasmid contains kanamycin resistance for bacterial selection and neomycin resistance for stable selection with G418 in eukaryotic cells. Ideal for transient and stable transfection experiments in a broad range of mammalian cell lines. Total vector size is 4732 bp. Research Use Only (RUO). Applications Mammalian gene expression C-terminal fluorescent protein tagging Protein localization studies Fluorescence microscopy Live-cell imaging Cell biology research Molecular cloning Protein trafficking analysis Functional protein characterization Transfection optimization Features Strong CMV immediate-early promoter Designed for C-terminal EGFP fusion protein expression Bright Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein (EGFP) High expression in mammalian cells Suitable for transient and stable transfection Compatible with common mammalian cell lines Ideal for fluorescence microscopy and live-cell imaging
