The Physio-Control infant/child electrode pads are designed for use on a child less than 8 years old, or weighing less than 55 lbs. These pads will deliver an age/weight appropriate energy dose. The pads are compatible with the LP500*, CR Plus, Lifepak 1000, and Express. *The LIFEPAK® 500 AEDs can use these Physio-Control pediatric electrodes if they have the pink inner lining connector ss opposed to other LIFEPAK® 500s with the gray/black connector (the gray/black connector AED can be upgraded and can then use these infant/child electrodes.) Smaller in size than adult pads while serving the same purpose, these Physio-Control infant/child electrode pads are designed to provide a reduced but appropriate dose of energy to kids under eight years old and/or under 55 pounds who are actively experiencing a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) event. While children are far less likely to be impacted by SCA, having Physio-Control pediatric electrodes on hand at all times is recommended in case of an emergency situation where performing a life-saving shock may be required.
