Designed for children under 8 years old and weighing less than 55 lbs (25kg), these reduced energy pediatric Infant/Child Electrode Pads are compatible with LIFEPAK 500, LIFEPAK 1000, and LIFEPAK CR Plus AEDs that have the pink connector (standard on AEDs manufactured after 8/9/02 or any LIFEPAK CR Plus or LIFEPAK 1000 AED). The pediatric electrode pads are smaller than the adult pads and reduce the energy dose by a factor of four, delivering a pediatric-appropriate dosage of 50, 75, or 86J compared to the adult dosage of 200, 300, or 360J. Biphasic LIFEPAK 500 AEDs without the pink inner lining on the electrode receptacle can be upgraded to accept the lower energy pediatric child electrodes.
