Description Platycerium Monkey North. A distinctive staghorn fern known for its playful, branching fertile fronds that twist and curl with character as the plant matures. It forms a compact to medium-sized clump, with attractive shield fronds that age to a soft tan, giving it a sculptural, ornamental look. Growing condition Temperature: Ideal temperature range: 10°C – 30°C. Best grown in warm, stable conditions protected from frost. Water: Use rainwater, distilled water, or RO water where possible. Keep mounting medium lightly moist, allowing it to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid prolonged dryness or waterlogging. Light: Prefers bright, indirect light or filtered shade. Too much direct sun may damage fronds, while too little light can reduce growth and vigour. We ship live plants within Australia only, excluding NT, WA, and TAS due to quarantine restrictions. All plants are carefully packed to ensure safe arrival.
