A palm-sized pollack sewn in soft velboa, shaped after myeongtae (명태), the Alaska pollack. The form comes from a long-standing Korean practice of hanging a dried pollack at the ent ryway as a household charm against misfortune, often given at housewarmings and tied to wishes for a peaceful home. Here the dried fish becomes a plush one: a face embroidered at the head, a length of cotton cord wrapped around the middle and finished in a tassel. The face is stitched on both sides, so it reads from either direction. In three colors — Oatmeal, Black, and Sky.Hangs from a door handle, a doorframe, or a rearview mirror.
