About the fibre Staple length 80mm. Micron count 22-23. Fine 100g/bag Polwarth wool has a relatively long staple length that makes it a popular choice for handspinning and felting. It has a softness comparable to merino, but is less slippery, making it easier to spin with. This wool produces a soft fabric with a graceful drape. About the breed The Polwarth sheep is a result of interbreeding Lincoln and Merino sheep in order to produce a sheep with a hardier grazing range than purebred Merino.
