Polwarth fiber is a fine wool breed. After crossbreeding Merino and Lincoln sheep a new breed was established in 1880 in Australia. The new breed was called Polwarth and is 3/4 Mer ino and 1/4 Lincoln. Polwarth sheep produce a very fine wool suitable for baby items. This wool is elastic, resilient, lofty and drapes well.
