Hockeystation offers Profiling from Prosharp to improve your skating performance. We currently offer the Ellipse, Zuperior, Quad and a single 10'. The latest Prosharp AS2001 all Pro SC allows us to fit both steel runners in the machine at the same time. We will firstly even out your blade runner heights so they are identical. We then profile both runners at the same time to ensure the end result is a profile and height that matches 100% between both runners. We finally sharpen the steel to your chosen roh. If you need advice on which profile and roh(how sharp) then please get in touch with us and we'll be more than happy to discuss. Need to know...... Limited staff members are currently trained on profiling so please check ahead if visiting in store The steel will most likely need to be left with us at least overnight and sometimes longer depending on staff. We may on occasion be able to profile on the spot if a trained staff member and the machine if free, it takes around an hour. We only profile steel runners that can be removed from the skates so we can profile in pairs. When changing profiles we recommend running at least two sets of steel, keeping one set as a control set which you're familiar and comfortable skating on. Depending on the change, it can sometimes take a few hours of skating time to adjust to a new profile. Maintenance profiles will be needed once or twice a year to maintain the profile shape. The middle two thirds of the steel runner is profiled. The toe is then blended into the profile afterwards. If your steel already has a profile on it then please let us know which one, this is important for us to know so we can account for the balance point when re-profiling. Mailing in?...... If you are sending in your steel then you are responsible for shipping the steel to us, we recommend using a tracked and signed service. You will also need to pay for the delivery back to you, however you can add the profiling service to an order with any additional item(s) on our website which then may put you above the free delivery threshold. If you do order any additional items with your profile then your whole order will be put on hold until the profiling is completed.... any order delivery eta's at checkout will not be valid and should be ignored. When shipping your steel to us please include(on a piece of paper) your name, email and phone number... and if you have already placed your order for the profile then please include your order number.
