It is rare nowadays to get really intensely red 'ruby silver', the like of Proustite or Pyrargyrite due to their tendency to darker over time with exposure to daylight. This is wha t makes this thumbnail sized cluster of German Proustite crystals so special. There is age-related wear to the edges of the crystals, but they have excellent overall shape, an exquisite greasy lustre and sit nicely upon a sliver of white Dolomite matrix. The individual Proustite crystals reach 5 mm across, but look much larger due to their clustering together. Claimed to be from the Black Forest area. Show more
