A trip home to Dorset, England one year inspired many of the drawings on which I have based this stitchery book. Thatched cottages line the country roads of the village where I gre w up, their gardens a colorful sprawl, a tribute to the gardeners who lovingly attend them. The simplicity that I remember of my childhood is still part of the village today.
