A trip home to Dorset, England one year inspired many of the drawings on which I have based this stitchery book. Thatched cottages line the country roads of the village where I gre w up, their gardens a colourful sprawl, a tribute to the gardeners who lovingly attend them. The simplicity that I remember of my childhood is still part of the village today, the grocery store still its heart where your news is everyones news and you can buy anything and everything.Combining stitchery with some traditional simple blocks and some very special hand painted buttons you too can create a simple country feel for your home with one of the gorgeous projects within this book.
