RAK5804 (WisBlock IO) expands the WisBlock ecosystem by adding extra IO options, enabling easy connection of external sensors, displays, and buttons for your WisBlock solution. It routes IO pins, I2C, and UART to the application ports using 3 connectors, allowing users to connect sensors, digital I/O, analog I/O, and I2C/UART slave devices as part of a complete IoT deployment. Paired with the RAK4631 WisBlock Core, RAK5804 provides an interface for non-standard sensors and user interfaces, acting as a bridge to LoRaWan®, LoRa® point-to-point, or BLE communication. For battery-powered designs, the WisBlock system supports fully powering down the module to reduce power consumption further. RAK5804 also includes circuit protection via TVS, and output power overload prevention using a PTC thermistor.
