RAK5804 is a WisBlock IO module that extends the WisBlock system with a wide range of additional IOs. It provides a solution for connecting your own sensors, displays, or buttons to a WisBlock-based application. RAK5804 exposes IO pins, I2C, and UART to the user’s application ports through three (3) connectors. Through these connectors, users can attach sensors, digital I/O, analog I/O, and slave devices via the I2C and UART ports to complete a final IoT solution. When combined with the RAK4631 WisBlock Core, RAK5804 gives the solution an interface to non-standard sensors and user interfaces. This interface serves as the bridge between such sensors and LoRaWan® communication, LoRa® point-to-point connections, or BLE. RAK5804 is suitable for battery-powered applications because the WisBlock system allows the module to be powered down completely to further reduce overall system power consumption.
