Anabit's Reflex DAC is a fast, open-source reference design that features a 14-bit bipolar voltage DAC that turns SPI data into clean, precise analog signals. It delivers a true ±4.096 V full-scale output at up to 2 MSPS and uses a precision 4.096 V on-board reference for low noise and excellent stability. You can also export the reference voltage to other circuits or feed in external reference voltage to set a custom output range (up to +/- 5V). The Reflex DAC runs from a single 5 V supply with onboard filtering and an integrated DC to DC converter to generate low noise +/- 5V rails for true bipolar output. Digital I/O is flexible: use 5 V logic by default or plug in an optional 2.7–5.0 V digital supply—the board auto-detects and routes it (no jumpers). From precision DC levels that can be quickly changed to generating continuous waveforms, the Reflex DAC delivers in an easy to use interface. Example use cases for the Reflex DAC: ADC and front end design testing and sensor emulation Closed-loop control (precision biasing, piezo/galvo drive, servos) Waveform generation (steps, ramps, sweeps) --> may require additional output filtering Precision industrial control applications, add a resistor to the output to create a precision bipolar current source Educational training of DAC and op amp design techniques
