Pierre Charpin designed Riga-Riga for Zanotta in 2025 as a study in geometric precision, where the surface of a sideboard becomes an architectural composition in its own right. Strips of stained ash alternate with back-painted colored glass inserts, producing a rhythm of depth and shadow that shifts with the light. The MDF frame is veneered in open-pore lacquered ash, available in black or amaranth. Each finish opens onto its own palette of glass combinations: black pairs with black, mint, or sky; amaranth with amaranth, ivory, or coral. Tone-on-tone restraint or deliberate contrast, the choice shapes the character of the piece entirely. Adjustable internal shelves in tempered extra-clear glass Optional integrated neutral LED lighting Available in two ash finishes with multiple glass insert color combinations Charpin's practice moves freely between furniture, ceramics, and graphic work, always with an eye toward the sensory. Riga-Riga carries that sensibility into storage, making function and decoration genuinely inseparable.
