The Royer R-DB20 is a phantom-powered ribbon and dynamic microphone signal booster and impedance buffer designed to increase level of passive ribbon and dynamic microphones. The Royer R-DB20 uses a Class A input circuitry which provides a high source impedance to the microphone and minimises loading. The result in reduced colouration and distortion while providing increased headroom. It also includes a 12/20dB gain switch to provide optimum balance between gain and headroom for a variety of uses. The low-impedance output delivers an increased mic-level signal capable to driving digital interface or traditional microphone preamps. It also reduces signal loss when using long cable runs. Royer R-DB20 dBooster Main Features: Active electronics give you the output and sensitivity of a condenser Extremely low residual noise Ribbon element not affected by heat or humidity Consistent frequency response regardless of distance or angle Very low magnetic leakage High-efficiency toroid matching transformer and gold plated output connector Ultra-compact package
