5150 Autosport S50B30 Euro VANOS Delete Elimination Kit The 5150 Autosport VANOS Delete Kit eliminates the factory VANOS system on the BMW S50B30 and S50B32 engines, converting them to a fixed cam timing setup for maximum simplicity, consistency, and reliability. This kit is ideal for road racing and heavily modified engines, including turbocharged and supercharged builds, as well as hill climb, drifting, and rally applications. It is especially beneficial when paired with ECUs that do not support VANOS control. In race environments where engines operate consistently at higher RPM, VANOS offers limited advantage, making a fixed timing setup more predictable and easier to manage. By locking the cams in place, the system removes common failure points associated with the VANOS unit, including mechanical wear, solenoid issues, and system noise. It also allows for more aggressive engine configurations, including higher duration and lift camshafts, along with +1mm valve upgrades.
