For plastics and wood, start with 320 grit for deep scratches, 600 grit for medium scratches, and 800 grit for minor scuffs. Sanding Tips Remove as much grease, oil, and dirt as you can before using the discs, so you’re not contaminating them. Attach disc onto sander, making sure it is centered on sander pad. Try to sand evenly across the part so you don't end up with dips or low spots. Use only light to medium pressure with the discs or you'll wear them out prematurely. If sandpaper starts to clog up and become less effective, sand with soapy water or a lubricant such as Maxima MPPL or WD40. This will also help achieve a higher shine and smoother finish. In order to make the discs last as long as possible, be careful around sharp edges. Always wear a dust mask or respirator and eye protection while sanding!
