By oxidizing the surface through a special firing process, it creates a texture that resembles rusted metal, visualizing the decadent beauty brought about by the passage of time. This texture is not achieved using conventional "rust glaze," but through a unique technique. Currently creating pottery in Kochi Prefecture, Kami City. Growing up under the guidance of his father, ceramic artist Teppei Ono, he continues to work while deeply engaging with nature, digging clay from the mountains and preparing glaze materials from scratch after becoming independent. The vessels, born from a solid weight and generous shape when held, carry a quiet tension beneath their simplicity, giving a strong presence to the space beyond daily life.
