A charming, rare and early machinist lamp by Simplex. Made in England. Circa 1920s. Steel construction with remnants of the original dark green painted finish, complete with dark g reen vitreous enamelled shade. Maker's marks to the shade mount and switch box. Mounted on a bespoke solid steel base. Articulation at arm joints with additional rotation at the turret base and shade mount. Supplied rewired with black braided cable (+2m), original ceramic bayonet (B22) lamp holder, original brass switch and plug. Tested for electrical safety.
