The ESPRIT 150EDX features the same outstanding f/7 optical system as the previous model including one premium Japanese Ohara FPL-53 ED glass lens element. Each air-to-glass lens surface has exotic anti-reflection metallic coatings applied, to ensure optimum light throughput approaching 99.5%!! The proprietary Sky-Watcher “Metallic High-Transmission Coatings” (MHTC) are the finest photon anti-rejection coatings in their class! The ESPRIT 150EDX has an improved back end design that dispenses with the capstan wheel of the previous model, allowing the focuser to be more easily rotated. Additionally, there is a rotatable adaptor provided on the drawtube to further assist in framing your images. There is also an accessory rail provided that doubles as a carrying handle. Features a rock-solid CNC Machined dual-speed rack & pinion linear power focuser with high load capacity and zero image shift, with a 3" indexed drawtube.
