The Solarcon MAX-GPK is a ground plane kit designed to enhance the performance of the Solarcon MAX Optimizer base station antenna — and compatible with other base antennas using 1-3/4" centred U-bolts or matching bolt spacing. By adding four fibreglass radials, the kit lowers the angle of radiation, directing more of your transmitted signal towards the horizon rather than skyward, which translates to greater range for ground-wave and local communication. The new-design mounting bracket makes it possible to retrofit the kit to an already-installed MAX Optimizer antenna without having to take the antenna down and start from scratch.
