This woodland goldenrod excels in partial shade. Like other goldenrods, it is a keystone species that supports an incredible amount of wildlife. Spreads easily by rhizome. While co mpetitive, it is far less aggressive than common Canada goldenrod (Solidago canadensis). For smaller gardens where less spread is desired, consider elm-leaved goldenrod (Solidago ulmifolia).
