St Catherine's Lighthouse has been in service since 1875 and has been automated and unmanned since 1997. It was struck by German bombers on 1st June 1943 in the last local air raid of WWII, killing all three keepers - Grenfell, Tomkins and Jones. Several mysterious sightings of figures and disembodied sounds have been reported over the years. This ghost glows in the dark and will recharge indefinitely if well cared for. Best charged with sunlight for an intense glow.
