Stachys monieri 'Hummelo' is a stellar choice for gardeners seeking reliable, low-fuss perennials. This award-winning Betony produces striking lavender-purple flower spikes that rise above crinkled, emerald-green foliage throughout the growing season. Reaching 18–22 inches at maturity, it's perfectly scaled for borders, edging, and mixed plantings. Hardy in zones 4–8, 'Hummelo' demands minimal care once established. Plant it in full sun and well-draining soil, and watch it flourish with little intervention. Deer and rabbits leave it untouched, making it ideal for wildlife-prone gardens. Its nectar-rich blooms attract butterflies, bees, and other pollinators, adding life and movement to your landscape. Named 2019 Perennial of the Year for good reason—this is a workhorse that delivers season after season.
