The Supercool Pedals Caffeine Boost Classic JFET is a super versatile gain tool that can live on almost any board. At lower settings it’s perfect as a volume leveller for long signal chains, adding clarity and push without changing your core tone. Dial it up and it becomes an ideal solo boost, or a powerful front-end driver for your favourite overdrive pedal or amplifier. The newest addition is a side switch that engages a set of clipping diodes, transforming the Caffeine Boost into a transparent light overdrive. Internal DIP switches let you choose PRE or POST volume behaviour: PRE gives a consistent, uniform overdriven tone, while POST increases distortion as you raise the pedal’s output—mimicking the natural breakup response of a tube amp. The result is a dynamic, touch-sensitive boost/overdrive that can cover everything from clean lift to light-to-mid gain drive.
