The Chateau planks are 7 1/2" wide x 5/8" thick x random lengths 24" to 82" long, and are engineered in a three-ply construction for stability. Each plank has a wear layer 5/32" (4 mm) thick, which is hefty enough for three sandings. The surface texture is wire brushed, micro-beveled (except for the walnut which is smooth), and includes knots, filled/unfilled cracks and contrasting heart and sapwood. All the beauty of natural wood with significant color variation is available in 13 earth-tone stains. The finish is non-toxic UV-cured urethane with no off-gassing of hazardous chemicals. It employs a tongue and groove construction that can be nailed, glued, or floated above, at, or below grade, and even over hydronic (excluding electric) radiant heat systems.
