Product Description The Rage is a disc mulcher, and the disc is the whole argument. At 1.5 inches thick and 1,045 pounds with teeth, it stores enough rotational energy to take a 14-inch tree without the deck bogging down. That is stored energy doing the work, not motor torque trying to catch up. It cuts trees up to 14 inches and mulches material up to 6 inches, returning the debris to the ground rather than leaving you a pile to deal with. Beaver teeth are distributed around the disc, 10 on top, 12 on the edge, and 8 on the bottom, so the disc cuts, sizes, and re-processes material through the pass. Power comes from a Parker piston motor built in Sweden, chosen for starting torque, running on 32 to 45 GPM at 3,000 to 6,000 psi and turning 1,200 RPM at 40 GPM. The motor is covered, and the deck carries a built-in storage compartment for the replacement tooth ratchet, which is the tool you will actually need in the field. The disc mounts on a 4-inch output shaft through a 12.38-inch flange with 3/4-inch Grade 9 bolts, running in an oil bath bearing carrier. Skid shoes are 1/2-inch AR400.
