Similar to other varieties of thyme, German Winter has a mild minty, herbal f lavor perfect for seasoning or teas. Purple flowers in the summertime are also highly attractive to a number of pollinators and can be used in similar ways to the leaves. Commonly used in a variety of culinary ways for its minty, herbal flavor profile, thyme is most popular in soups, roasted vegetables, and in compound herb butters. Mature plants typically reach a height of around 6-12" and do best when planted about 6-8" from one another.
