The Ropreco Paste tomato is an heirloom variety that only grows to about a metre in height. Like other paste tomatoes, it has more flesh than juice, but it’s noted for having a bet ter texture when eaten fresh. It’s not absolutely necessary to stake this tomato variety, and its disease resistance is an added bonus for low-maintenance gardeners. Finally, there’s the flavour which tends towards the sweet.
