The Tsuchi Ring Vase is a horizontal stoneware loop, set on its side. A single small opening sits at the top of the ring, holding water and a stem laid through the circle. The geometry is the work; the function follows. A modernist piece in a wabi-sabi finish. Suits a single curving stem laid through the ring, or sits as a quiet sculptural object alone on a low table or windowsill. Reads strongest against a flat surface with negative space around it.
