The Tulsa Roughnecks played in the old North American Soccer League from 1978 until the league folded after the 1984 season. The club started as the San Antonio Thunder in 1975. In 1977 it became Team Hawaii but moved to Oklahoma after playing just one season in the Aloha State. The Roughnecks won the 1983 Soccer Bowl, defeating the Toronto Blizzard 2-0. The team??played several seasons of indoor soccer as well. Three subsequent team have used the name in various leagues. Show more
