The Valerie Objects Bar Stool, standing at a seat height of 75cm, is a sophisticated evolution of the iconic Alu collection designed by Muller Van Severen in collaboration with the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). Born from a project for BIG’s own headquarters, the stool merges Ingels’ signature geometric clarity with the Belgian design duo's mastery of colour and materiality. Crafted entirely from aluminium with a high-gloss lacquered seat, this taller version is specifically engineered for use at bars and high-level counters, offering a sleek and architectural profile. Built for both indoor and outdoor versatility, the stool features a powder-coated aluminium frame that is finished with beeswax and a UV-resistant lacquer. This treatment ensures the vibrant surface is protected against the elements, making it as suitable for a rooftop bar as it is for a contemporary kitchen. The design treats colour as a structural element, available in ivory, green, pink, and raw aluminium, allowing for either a uniform minimalist look or a playful, multi-coloured arrangement. Its lightweight nature makes it easy to reposition, yet its construction remains exceptionally robust. As a piece of functional art, the Valerie Objects Bar Stool reflects a balance between industrial rigour and chromatic playfulness, a hallmark of Muller Van Severen’s globally recognised style. Its minimalist form and durable finish make it a dependable choice for high-traffic environments that require a touch of modern elegance.
