Stereo microscope observations are difficult to document: the 3D binocular view cannot be captured by a standard camera, dissection steps happen in real time and need video, and the stereo head geometry requires a different camera adapter than compound microscopes. The VEE GEE Scientific M1397 USB Digital Cameras are built for the Vanguard 1353SL specifically — with the correct adapter geometry for the stereo head port, and in the same 2 MP, 5 MP, and 12 MP resolution options as the compound camera series. Document dissections, surface structures, specimens under inspection, and stereoscopic observations with a single USB cable connection and included imaging software. Same operational features as the compound camera series: single-cable power and video, still and video capture modes, auto/manual exposure, and measurement and annotation software. The stereo camera body is identical (68 × 68 × 46 mm); only the adapter and pricing differ from the compound series. Features and Benefits Designed for the Vanguard 1353SL Stereo Microscope: The M1397 series includes the correct adapter for the 1353SL stereo head camera port — not interchangeable with the compound microscope 1300-CDPC cameras. Single USB Cable Operation: USB 2.0 carries power, video, and full camera control — same single-cable convenience as the compound camera series. 2 MP, 5 MP, and 12 MP Options: 2 MP at 30fps for routine documentation; 5 MP at 22fps for detailed surface imaging; 12 MP at 15fps for maximum-resolution specimen archival. Still and Video Capture: Document dynamic dissection steps in video; capture final specimen images as still photographs. Both modes available in all three models. Measurement and Annotation Software: Calibrated on-screen measurement tools for length and area. Annotation tools for labeling structures and adding scale bars to images. The M1397 series is specifically adapted for the 1353SL stereo head. Using the wrong camera series will not fit correctly. Is the M1397 series compatible with stereo microscopes from other brands? The M1397 cameras include adapters configured for the Vanguard 1353SL specifically. Compatibility with other stereo microscope brands depends on camera port diameter — contact VEE GEE Scientific for compatibility guidance for non-Vanguard instruments. Quality Assurance VEE GEE Scientific M1397 USB digital cameras for the 1353SL stereo microscope are factory-matched to the stereo head camera port geometry. CMOS sensors and USB 2.0 connections are verified before shipment. 1-year warranty.
