Solid Oak 6 Panel Victorian Internal DoorThis Victorian 6 Panel Solid Oak Door carries a formal, traditional design that is built to last. It is one of our Victorian doors, and its symmetrical six-panel layout, two even columns of three panels, gives the balanced, classical proportions of a period home. Crafted from 100% prime Grade A solid oak, with only the finest oak selected, it brings real quality and structure to an interior. It is built with a mortice and tenon frame, the strongest traditional joint, so the door feels solid and hangs true. The six raised panels create a detailed, structured face, while the natural beauty of the wood shows in the decorative graining and prominent knots, which give a warm variety of colours and tones.Being solid oak all the way through, rather than an oak face over a manufactured core, the door can be sanded back and re-treated over its life, and trimmed a little to fit an opening. Oak moves slightly with the seasons, so leave a small gap for expansion when fitting. The panelled face suits traditional ironmongery; you can match the handles, hinges and latches on our door hardware pages, and used with other oak furnishings and flooring it helps create a cohesive, characterful interior. This door is available unfinished and sanded, or prefinished before delivery through our in-house oiling service. Use a suitable hardwax oil such as Treatex, sealing every face including the top and bottom edges, and re-treat periodically to keep it protected. It is also available in made-to-measure sizes for a non-standard opening.Key Product Information Formal six-panel design: two symmetrical columns of three raised panels 100% prime Grade A solid oak with a mortice and tenon frame Solid oak throughout: can be sanded back, re-treated and trimmed to fit over its life Natural character: grain, knots and warm oak tones Supplied unfinished or prefinished; made to measure available
