Wheel Throwing Level 1 is the perfect place to start your ceramics journey. Over six weekly sessions, you'll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing through demonstrations, practical exercises, and individual guidance while becoming familiar with the complete ceramic process. The course focuses on building confidence at the wheel and developing good making habits that will support your future practice. You'll learn to: • Centre clay confidently • Throw cylinders, bowls, and mugs • Trim, refine, and glaze your work • Understand the complete ceramic process • Develop the skills needed for Level 2 or studio membership Learning ceramics takes time, repetition, and patience. Rather than rushing towards complex forms, this course focuses on building strong foundations.
