This medium-sized broadleaf tree is compact with a domed shaped canopy. Producing clusters of white flowers in spring, that are then are followed by red berries in early autumn. Gr owing Conditions:Prefers alkaline soils but grows in a wide range of soils. Tolerates coastal exposure. Value To Wildlife:Both flowers and fruit provide a great food for a wide variety of animals, birds, insects and bees. Important Note:This is a deciduous tree and so will shed its leaves in autumn, in order to protect itself from the cold winter weather.
