Making improvement means knowing exactly how a process is performing. It also means knowing if changes had the predicted effect. Both of these things mean that in a Lean or other c ontinuous improvement environment, there will be lots of measurements. And those measurements have the potential to make people uncomfortable if they are done wrong. Our "Working With Metrics" training helps team members understand why metrics are needed to make improvements, and what the measurements will mean to the work environment.
