TRY ME IF YOU LOVE: Skin contact whites ABV: 11.0% GRAPES: 100% Verdeca TASTING NOTES: Intense aromas of dried apricot, orange peel, chamomile, and Mediterranean herbs on the nose. Structured and textured, with a mineral freshness, and distinct saline finish, and a light, pleasant tannic grip. PAIRS WITH: Pairs well with rich seafood stews, spiced white meats and aged cheeses. SERVE ME: Chilled, pop in the fridge for a couple of hours. Made from the rare local variety Verdeca, this wine actually sees seven months of skin contact yet it does not quite pick up enough colour to be called 'orange.' It does however get a wonderful aromatic lift and buckets of texture and salinity. A special white wine whose freshness will surprise you considering its Southern Italian origins.
