To showcase this, an official appellation – “Tidal Bay” – was created in 2012. The structure of this system is based on well-established European appellations, such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Vinho Verde, Soave, and Chianti, designed to help protect and promote the quality regional wines they represent. Strict viticultural and winemaking standards are regulated by an independent tasting panel. Tidal Bay wines are known for their bright acidity, light body, and signature aromatic profile, often with notes of green fruit, citrus and minerality that captures the essence of Nova Scotia’s coastal vineyards. Certified organic by Ecocert Canada, our Tidal Bay blend is thoughtfully crafted from grapes grown in five family-farmed organic vineyards across the Annapolis Valley. Each site lends its own unique expression of Nova Scotia’s coastal terroir, contributing to a wine that is bright, balanced, and unmistakably of place. Fermented in stainless steel, the final blend captures the purity, freshness, and vibrant fruit character that define the Tidal Bay style.
