DESCRIPTION This overcoat dates back to the 1940s and is of Swedish origin. The coat is marked "Örnkläder", a brand that was produced by AB B. Bergson & Söner, a company from Karls tad in central Sweden. It is crafted from a very heavy brown tweed fabric with a distinctive herringbone pattern. The coat is double-breasted with three rows of buttons and features horizontal front pockets with flaps. In addition to these, it also has the characteristic vertical pockets at waist height, where chauffeurs could easily warm their hands when the car was stationary. The thick lapels each have a buttonhole. The back of the coat has a deep vent and a belt. It is fully lined and has two inner pockets, one on each side. Inside the collar, there are buttons that were used to attach a detachable fur collar, which, unfortunately, is no longer preserved with the coat. The cuffs are leather-lined. Overall, the coat is in very good condition; the only thing to note is some discolouration in the lining, but this is not visible when the coat is worn and does not affect the overall impression.
