The color is white, it is medium-light weight with an embroidered lacey flower selvage, along one side, with a light weight solid white cotton for the remainder of the width. The fabric is shown below from different orientations: the top and lower left photos have the selvedges at "east and west", and the lower right photo has the selvedges "north and south" so that you can see how it would look with the selvage as the hem of your garment. The fabric has a lovely cottony drape with a bit of body, and the weight is very versatile, suitable for a skirt, dress, shirt, tunic, blouse, etc. Please test first if you choose to hand or machine wash, and hang to dry.contents: 100% cottonwidth: 55"origin: NY designer
