A special edition pedal paying homage to the world's greatest guitarist, Jimi Hendrix. The distinctive art design is based on the famous poster that adorned the wall of the Shrine Auditorium, the venue for a concert held in Los Angeles in February 1968. The poster design, created by John Van Hamersveld, an artist who, like Jimi Hendrix, is a representative figure of pop culture and the hippie movement, has been specially adapted for this pedal by Simon Berndt of One Horse Town Illustration. The green and blue flames on the pedal evoke the intense passion and mystical musical experiences that Jimi Hendrix bestowed upon the world, while the psychedelic lettering evokes the atmosphere of the time. This compact unit contains two of Jimi's essential Fuzz Face sounds that define his career. This unit combines the warm and smooth saturation of the germanium transistors used in the early part of his career with the aggressive crunch of the silicon transistors used in his later career, and you can switch between these two using a switch on the top of the unit. The bypass switch allows you to switch between true bypass and buffered bypass. If you use a wah pedal, selecting buffered bypass will prevent the sound from changing too drastically.-Specifications- [SILICON / GERMANIUM FUZZ (BUFF ON)] Input Impedance: 800 kΩ Output Impedance Max Volume: 16 kΩ Mid Volume: 160 kΩ Max Output: Level -4 dBV Max Gain: 55 dB Bypass: True Hardwire [SILICON FUZZ (BUFF OFF)] Input Impedance: 10 kΩ Output Impedance Max Volume: < 16 kΩ Mid Volume: 66 kΩ Max Gain: 55 dB Bypass: True Hardwire [GERMANIUM FUZZ (BUFF OFF)] Input Impedance: 10 kΩ Output Impedance Max Volume: 2 kΩ Mid Volume: 115 kΩ Max Gain: 45 dB Bypass: True Hardwire POWER REQUIREMENTS Current Draw: 6.8 mA Power Requirements: 9 volts DC
