The Honk Machine is a fuzz pedal that reproduces the "Zonk Machine" released by JHS (John Hornby Skewes), a mus ical instrument manufacturer in Leeds, England, in 1965. The Zonk Machine is a clone model of the Tone Bender MKI, and while it shares many similarities in circuitry and appearance, its unique sound is completely different. It has been gaining attention as a vintage fuzz pedal in recent years, but is nearly impossible to obtain. It truly is the holy grail of vintage fuzz pedals. The Honk Machine recreates the unique magic of the original by using the same circuitry as the Zonk Machine and NOS germanium transistors that have been meticulously selected by ear.
